CENTCOM said the US maritime blockade of Iran remains fully enforced. As of July 25 it had forced 12 commercial vessels attempting to breach the blockade to change course, disabled two noncompliant vessels' ability to navigate, and boarded two vessels for inspection to ensure compliance.

An IRGC spokesman said early on 26 that if Israel restarts hostilities Iran would inflict "serious consequences." He warned any country backing the US in an Iran–US clash, including the UK and Gulf states, would be treated as a "legitimate strike target," citing recent US B-1 bomber use of a UK base. He said Iran has specific contingency plans and accused Israel of supplying false information to the US to keep American forces in the region, warning Israel would face severe repercussions if it "returns to the battlefield" and becomes a core strike focus.
