Mehr News Agency reported an oil tanker exploded in the Strait of Hormuz after striking a sea mine. The agency said the tanker had deviated from the Iran-designated transit lane in the strait.

Iraq will sign an agreement with Syria to build a pipeline linking domestic oilfields to the Mediterranean for crude exports, an official statement said. The cabinet authorised the Basra Oil Company general manager to sign a memorandum of understanding with Syria’s Ministry of Oil on the project. It also instructed the oil minister to sign an MoU with a ConocoPhillips–TI Capital–Novaterra consortium to start exploration and development assessments of the Akkas oil and gas field and surrounding areas.

Saudi Aramco shares fell as much as 1.0% in early Sunday trading to SAR26.56 after Yemen’s Houthi forces struck two Aramco oil facilities in Jizan and Yanbu, stoking concern about potential operational and infrastructure disruption. The stock is still about 11.8% higher year-to-date. LSEG data show 17 brokers cover the stock; 10 rate it buy or higher and seven hold, with a median price target of SAR30.80, implying roughly 16% upside from the intraday low.
