Iran's supreme leader Khamenei replied to a letter from Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem and his fighters, reaffirming that support for Hezbollah is a strategic policy under the line established by the late supreme leader Khamenei. He said Iran will defend Lebanon's territorial integrity and that a comprehensive, unconditional end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon is the primary precondition for any US-linked memorandum to end the conflict. Khamenei added that people worldwide can no longer tolerate US and Israeli "oppression and violence" and vowed to continue the resistance line.
