Iran armed forces spokesman Shekarchi said on the 26th the US faces a chaotic,
unfavorable situation and has failed to achieve its objectives in the Strait of
Hormuz and in efforts to weaken Iran. He said the US is seeking a new strategy
and may withdraw from the conflict, a decision he tied to Israel's agreement.
With Prime Minister Netanyahu visiting the US, Iran could face airstrikes or
ground operations; Shekarchi added a ground option would leave the US more
vulnerable. Iran says it is prepared for all contingencies.
