A Yemeni navy official said on the 26th a navy patrol boat was attacked and destroyed in the Red Sea near Zugayr Island, leaving three crew members missing. The anonymous official blamed Houthi militants firing from several small boats but provided no evidence; the Houthis had not commented. Yemen’s government earlier said it had foiled attempts by multiple armed Houthi vessels to approach Zugayr Island, about 52 nautical miles (96 km) from the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
