The National Energy Administration said China’s power market traded 3,684.8 TWh in Jan–Jun 2026, up 24.2% YoY. Intra‑provincial trades totaled 2,913.5 TWh (+27.9% YoY); inter‑provincial/region trades were 771.3 TWh (+12.1% YoY). By product, medium‑ and long‑term contracts accounted for 3,256.8 TWh and spot trades 428.0 TWh. Green power trading reached 164.1 TWh (+6.6% YoY). Grid companies’ market‑based agent purchases amounted to 398.5 TWh.
