After four straight weekly advances, Hong Kong stocks extended gains as the Hang
Seng Index closed up 0.98%, trading as high as 25,276 after reclaiming the
25,000 level and the 100-day moving average. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose
1.57%. Market turnover was HK$210.5 billion. Sector winners included film and
entertainment, travel, consumer electronics, new-consumer and PCB-related
stocks; airlines and autos also rebounded. Lagging sectors included road
transport, semiconductors and oil & gas, while optical communications and coal
pulled back. Notable movers: MiniMax (00100.HK) +17%, Xiaomi Group (01810.HK)
+7.3%, Laopu Gold (06181.HK) +5.5%; PetroChina (00857.HK) -3.5%, CSPC PHARMA
(01093.HK) and China Resources Beer (00291.HK) both down >2.5%.
