The Trump administration's pause on plans to escalate a war with Iran boosted
global markets, sending European semiconductor stocks higher at the start of the
week. In Asia, SK Hynix closed up 3.3% and Samsung Electronics closed up 1.8%.
In Europe, ASML rose 1.7%, ASM International 0.5%, Infineon 2.1% and
STMicroelectronics 1.9%. Nasdaq 100 futures were up 1.6%, pointing to a strong
US tech open.
