MOFCOM urged the US to correct its approach and fully withdraw the unilateral tariff measures tied to the US final measures in the 'forced labor' 301 investigation. China said it is willing to continue bilateral dialogue on the basis of mutual respect and equality to resolve concerns, and called on the US to implement trade consultation outcomes, shrink the disputes list and expand cooperation to help maintain constructive, strategically stable relations.

The SFC has censured and fined Bright Smart Securities (Hong Kong) Limited HKD2.8 million for failing to implement adequate and effective internal controls to monitor and detect client wash trading. The firm said it accepts the penalty, completed remediation in September 2025, and that its internal-control technology now meets regulatory requirements. Bright Smart added the matter did not involve cybersecurity issues and did not affect client trading or funds.

China A-share film and cinema sector extended gains; Aofei Entertainment again hit the daily limit-up, while Xingfu Lanhai, Huazhi Shumei, Beijing Culture, Ruyi Film and Ciwen Media also rallied.
