Financial Times reports NVIDIA has agreed to invest about $5bln in Safe
Superintelligence, an AI startup led by OpenAI co‑founder Ilya Sutskever, and
will provide its latest Vera Rubin hardware as part of a "long-term
partnership." The companies announced the deal on Monday; people familiar said
the $5bln commitment is typically milestone-dependent. Both parties declined to
disclose financial terms, calling the investment "substantial." Safe
Superintelligence said the funding will help it build the compute to exploit a
research breakthrough it claims and increase available compute tenfold within 12
months.
