Meritz Securities analyst Kim Sun-woo estimates SK Hynix’s April–June pretax profit will exceed 10 trillion won, comprising a 6.01 trillion won operating profit and a 4.16 trillion won one‑off investment gain linked to a stake in Japan’s Kioxia held via U.S. buyout firm Bain Capital. That would top the company’s Q1 record operating profit of 5.88 trillion won. Kim said Q2 DRAM and NAND prices rose about 30% and 49% respectively.
