Microsoft on July 27 released MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first cybersecurity-specific AI model, and integrated it into its multi-agent vulnerability detection and remediation platform MDASH. Microsoft (MSFT.O) said the combination scored 95.95% on the CyberGym vulnerability-detection benchmark, outperforming MYTHOS, GEMINI and GPT-series models and reducing MDASH costs by about 50%. The company also launched the Perception agent security system for continuous monitoring, automated patching and response to novel threats.

Renewed concerns about AI spending weighed on tech names. In Asia, SK Hynix closed down nearly 15% and Samsung Electronics fell 13%. In Europe, Netherlands semiconductor-equipment maker ASML dropped 1.9% and smaller rival ASM International fell 2.9%; Infineon lost 2.3% and STMicroelectronics fell 1.7%. Nasdaq-100 futures were down 0.9%, signaling a weaker U.S. tech open.
