Cross-border yuan receipts and payments under goods trade totaled 836.4 bln yuan in 1H, up 50.2% YoY and accounting for 31% of total receipts/payments, roughly a 5 percentage-point rise YoY. Authorities said broader yuan settlement use helps foreign-trade firms reduce FX exposure, lower settlement costs and improve transaction efficiency.
