Japan's foreign minister Toshimitsu Motegi urged Iran to show maximum
flexibility to quickly ease tensions and stressed the importance of continued
U.S.-Iran negotiations. Motegi said issues should be addressed under a
memorandum of understanding and that Japan will work to support relevant talks.
Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian outlined the current state of
U.S.-Iran relations and Iran's position during the call.
