Dealers are dismantling motors, cables and radiator units and sorting metal streams to meet downstream appetite. Demand expansion from EVs, AI and other industrial users, combined with constrained growth in primary copper smelting capacity, is broadening demand for recycled copper and creating opportunities in China’s scrap recovery market. Chinese recycled-copper products are also attracting overseas buyers on the back of lower carbon intensity, lower energy use, stable quality and traceable carbon footprints.
