Iran’s Hatam al-Anbiya central command spokesman told state broadcaster IRIB on
the 28th that any country or company that accepts the US using frozen Iranian
assets to compensate vessels damaged in US‑Iran clashes will have its ships
barred from transiting the Strait of Hormuz, effective immediately. The
spokesman referenced President Trump’s prior announcement to use frozen Iranian
assets for compensation and said the vessel damage was caused by US‑created
regional insecurity and by illegal, unsafe navigation in the southern Strait of
Hormuz.
