Iran's deputy foreign minister warned Tehran would consider taking "any action,"
including restarting a war, to maintain control of the Strait of Hormuz,
state-affiliated Fars News reported. He said opening a southern route closer to
Oman's coast would mean Iran "could no longer exercise sovereignty," and added
any European vessel seeking to approach the strait would be "our lawful target."
