US API: refinery oil inventories rose 355,000 bbl in the week to July 24, versus forecast +648,000 bbl and prior +1.759 mln bbl.

Market research firm IIR said ARAMCO shut its Jazan refinery in Saudi Arabia on July 27 after a Saturday attack. The refinery’s crude processing capacity is about 400,000 barrels per day. IIR said the strike damaged the plant’s integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power system and the tank farm. ARAMCO expects repairs to be completed and the refinery to restart provisionally by Aug. 15.
