SoftBank Group will issue JPY90 billion (about $550 million) of bonds to
institutional investors to broaden domestic and offshore funding for AI
investments, lead-managed by Daiwa Securities. The deal comprises JPY80 billion
of three‑year notes with a 3.270% coupon (165bp over JGBs) and JPY10 billion of
five‑year notes with a 3.886% coupon (190bp over JGBs), the highest coupon paid
by a Japanese corporate borrower for comparable maturities.
