China Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning told a regular briefing on July 29 Beijing is seriously concerned by media reports that Japanese right‑wing groups are using AI at scale to distort Japan’s wartime aggression. Mao said these groups have failed to reckon with history, are deliberately twisting facts and downplaying responsibility—misleading Japanese society, especially youth. She warned they are now leveraging new technologies to “poison” public opinion and advance Japan’s remilitarization, calling the trend a blatant challenge to international justice and the postwar order that threatens regional peace and stability. Mao urged the international community to be vigilant and firmly resist.
