The US Federal Communications Commission announced import restrictions on
foreign-made advanced robots, including humanoid robots dominated by Chinese
firms. CHINA said at a routine briefing on the 29th it firmly opposes US moves
to broaden national security claims to target Chinese firms, warned
protectionism will not raise US competitiveness and will harm US companies and
consumers, and said China will take necessary measures to defend Chinese
companies' legitimate rights and interests.
