Indonesia has begun government-to-government imports of Russian oil and fuel to strengthen energy security, the government said. The program aims to maintain reserve levels, prevent shortages and ensure sufficient domestic supply; the first phase is complete and imports have started under a direct G2G arrangement. Jakarta has begun taking part of an agreed 150 million-barrel allocation from Russia, with deliveries processed through the country’s oil and gas testing center.
