Japan 30-year government bond yield rose 4.5 bps to 3.975%.

The Bank of England is expected to review its quantitative tightening (QT) plan at Thursday’s policy meeting. Ebury analyst Matthew Ryan says the QT assessment is unlikely to move UK assets materially because investors will focus on inflation guidance and any split in the rate vote. He cautions that a 7-2 vote to hold rates, combined with guidance that downplays inflation risks, would likely lead markets to lower expectations for further BoE hikes.
