China's Ministry of Natural Resources has opened public consultation on draft Interim Measures for Mining Rights Registration. The draft permits mining rights holders to apply for exploration and mining permits concurrently at the time of mining-rights registration and instructs natural-resources authorities to handle filings under a 'one-window application, coordinated handling' principle to speed processing and reduce applicant burden. Real estate registration agencies may obtain required mining-rights registration materials via information sharing, eliminating the need for applicants to re-submit them.
