China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said 1H 2026 software
business revenue growth by region: East +9.5% YoY, Central +13.5%, West +8.8%,
Northeast +5.6%. The eastern region accounted for 84.4% of national software
revenue. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei revenue rose 9.2% YoY and made up 27.2% of the
national total; the Yangtze River Delta rose 10.8% YoY and accounted for 29.9%.
Top five provincial markets by software revenue were Beijing, Guangdong,
Jiangsu, Shanghai and Shandong, with YoY gains of 9.2%, 9.6%, 10.2%, 11.1% and
6.7% respectively.
