A MORGAN STANLEY-led banking syndicate is negotiating a $15 billion loan to
Nexus Data Centers to build a large data center campus and a 1.6 GW onsite
gas-fired power plant in Hubbard, Texas. Google will provide financial
guarantees and supply chips; the guarantees are said to cover ANTHROPIC’s lease
and power-payment obligations on four signed data center leases and related
power purchase agreements but are limited to the minimum amount lenders require.
The deal could be announced as soon as today.
