Meta Platforms (META.O) said in a regulatory filing it has committed nearly $700
billion for AI data centers, cloud computing and related infrastructure via
long‑ and short‑term agreements. Irrevocable contract commitments total $349.3
bln, mainly for third‑party cloud service agreements, servers and network
infrastructure; the company called this a conservative estimate. Meta also has
$347.0 bln of leases not yet commenced that are off‑balance‑sheet; $68.0 bln of
those were added in July, with payments starting in 2027 and 2028. These costs
are incremental to existing leases and primarily cover data centers, colocation
and certain network infrastructure.
