Bank of Japan says material downside risk to economic activity and material upside risk to prices have both diminished.

At the morning open, China's commodity-futures main contracts were mostly lower. Coking coal fell over 2%, coke nearly 2%. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), fuel oil, Shanghai crude (SC), soda ash, LPG, benzene, eggs, pulp and styrene were down more than 1%. On the upside, palladium rose over 3%; SHFE tin and platinum gained more than 2%; SHFE silver climbed about 2%; bottle-grade PET chips and red dates were up over 1%.
