At mid-session close, China’s main futures contracts were mostly lower. Lithium carbonate and coking coal fell more than 4%; fuel oil and coke slid over 3%; benzene and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) dropped around 3%; SC crude, synthetic rubber, eggs and styrene declined more than 2%. On the upside, container freight on the Europe route rose over 3%; Shanghai tin, palladium and polysilicon gained about 2%; apples and platinum were up over 1%; Shanghai silver and rapeseed meal rose about 1%.
