July 29-30 in Jakarta, China's minister of housing and urban-rural development Ni Hong led a delegation and held talks with Indonesia's housing minister and the ASEAN secretary-general. Ni said ministry-level exchanges under the China–ASEAN construction ministers' roundtable have strengthened and pledged to deepen China–Indonesia cooperation on housing and new-town development under bilateral strategic guidance to promote high-quality urban and housing development. The Chinese side encouraged Chinese firms to pursue mutually beneficial, equal partnerships and to leverage their credibility, construction quality and product standards to expand participation in Indonesia's construction market.
