China A-shares closed lower after a low-range session. Shanghai Composite fell
0.59%, Shenzhen Component down 0.96% and the ChiNext index off 1.24%. Power-grid
equipment stocks outperformed, with several names hitting limit up including
Jiusheng Electric, Baili Electric and Changcheng Electric; Zhongchao Holdings,
Kaifa Electric and Xinte Electric also gained. Photovoltaic equipment stocks
climbed, led by Fulate, Guosheng Technology and Tongwei. Paper producers
strengthened in the afternoon; Yibin Paper and Kaien hit limit up, while
Qingshan Paper, Hengda New Materials and Wuzhou Special Paper advanced.
Semiconductor and memory-chip sectors sharply reversed, with GigaDevice and
Xiandao Jidian hitting limit down; Zhongke Feice, Changchuan Technology and
Tuojing Technology posted large declines. Electronic-chemicals names were
weak—Honghe Technology hit limit down, and Sanfu Xinke, Dinglong and Anji
Technology fell.
