TIMIRAOS: The last three officials to complete full 14-year Fed governor terms
were Alan Greenspan (1992-2006), George Mitchell (1962-1976) and William
McChesney Martin Jr. (1956-1970). Each had previously filled an unexpired
governor term before starting a full 14-year term. If Powell remains through
January 2028 he would join that group. Powell has served on the Board for 14
years, but his formal 14-year term began in 2014.
