At the morning open on China’s futures market, main contracts were mostly higher. Polysilicon and stainless steel led gains, up more than 2%. Container freight on Europe routes, polypropylene (PP), plastics, the PP monthly-average contract, glass and methanol rose over 1%. Decliners included red dates, palladium, fuel oil and Shanghai lead, down more than 1%, while SC crude, soda ash and Shanghai zinc fell around 1%.

KOSPI opened up 77.7 points (+1.24%) at 6,335.15 on Aug. 4 (Tuesday); SK Hynix rose over 3% and Samsung Electronics gained more than 2%. Japan's Nikkei 225 opened up 193.23 points (+0.30%) at 63,948.13.
