Moody's upgraded SK Hynix's long-term issuer and senior unsecured ratings to A3
from Baa1 and left the outlook at stable, citing stronger competitiveness in the
AI memory market and improvements in profitability and cash generation. This is
Moody's first A-range rating for SK Hynix since the company joined SK Group in
2012. S&P and Fitch remain at BBB+; S&P's outlook is positive and Fitch's is
stable. Moody's said it expects SK Hynix to sustain high profitability and cash
generation over the next 12–18 months and that ample cash buffers have improved
the firm's resilience to a semiconductor-cycle downturn.
