Egypt, Qatar and Turkey issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s continued violations in Gaza, saying Israel must comply with its obligations under international law and honor its ceasefire commitments. The three said the actions constitute breaches of the ceasefire that undermine implementation of the second-phase truce and threaten de-escalation, and called for protection of civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian personnel and for unimpeded delivery of aid and medical supplies into Gaza.

At the morning open on China’s futures market, main contracts were mostly higher. Polysilicon and stainless steel led gains, up more than 2%. Container freight on Europe routes, polypropylene (PP), plastics, the PP monthly-average contract, glass and methanol rose over 1%. Decliners included red dates, palladium, fuel oil and Shanghai lead, down more than 1%, while SC crude, soda ash and Shanghai zinc fell around 1%.
