Amin Nasser, CEO of ARAMCO, said last month’s attacks on company assets did not
have a material impact on operations or finances and did not materially affect
the company’s export capacity. He said ARAMCO is working to expand oil export
capability as the Strait of Hormuz remains affected by Iran-related conflict.
The company previously reported key infrastructure was targeted in July; this is
its first public acknowledgment. Traders had been scrutinizing footage of
suspected tank fires and flaring across Saudi Arabia. "Some of our facilities
were attacked, but the impact on operations or finances was not material,"
Nasser said. "The July incident likewise did not materially affect our
capabilities."
