U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said the weak yen has left Japan facing inflationary pressures.

China United Airlines said tickets sold from Aug 5, 2026 (inclusive) will carry revised domestic passenger fuel surcharges. For segments up to and including 800 km the surcharge is 40 yuan per passenger; for segments over 800 km it is 70 yuan per passenger. Reduced rates apply to children ticketed at 50% of the adult regular domestic fare (including unaccompanied minors), military veterans disabled in revolutionary service, and police disabled in the line of duty: 20 yuan for up to and including 800 km and 30 yuan for over 800 km.
