Refinitiv cited a senior Iranian source saying an interim Iran-Oman plan for the
Strait of Hormuz would give Iran full control over all inbound shipping. Under
the proposal, Oman would only clear outbound vessels after notifying Iranian
officials, enabling Tehran to monitor traffic and retain the right to intervene.
The source said Iran is unlikely to accept any other proposal to reopen the
strait.
