Reserve Bank of India governor says the Monetary Policy Committee maintains a neutral policy stance.

A Ministry of Finance Department of Accounting official said the revised Accounting Standard No.30 requires firms that, in formal public written materials outside the financial statements, present profit-and-loss subtotal items not mandated by accounting standards and used to convey management’s view of overall financial performance to treat those items as management performance measures. Such measures must be disclosed separately in the notes with their definitions and calculation methods. The Ministry says the change aims to strengthen the link between management-designed metrics and accounting standards and to provide users with more reliable related information.
