Korean IT site DigitalDaily, citing industry sources, reports Apple sought to
bring China's CXMT into its supply chain to lower costs but encountered
resistance in recent LPDDR5X mobile DRAM price talks. CXMT reportedly refused
Apple's requested cuts; its offers are at or above Samsung and SK Hynix levels,
supported by large domestic orders from Huawei and Xiaomi and reducing the need
to accept Apple's stricter quality certification and lower margins.
