Esmail Kowsari, a member of Iran's parliamentary National Security Committee, told state broadcaster IRIB that President Trump’s approach to negotiations with Iran is 'contradictory and unreliable.' Kowsari said Trump has claimed 75 times that the Strait of Hormuz is open though it is not, has said 'Iran will fail' 106 times, and has referred to an imminent agreement with Tehran 88 times. Trump said on Tuesday night the US and Iran could reach a deal within hours; Iran has repeatedly denied direct talks with Washington.
