Samsung Electronics is evaluating measures to expand shareholder returns on a sustainable basis. SK Hynix says it will announce a plan by year-end to significantly increase capital returns. Both firms posted their highest-ever quarterly operating profits last week, driven by rising AI demand and materially stronger cash generation. Analysts estimate Samsung's free cash flow could reach about 200 trillion won this year, while SK Hynix's FCF is projected in the mid-to-upper 100 trillion won range.
