China A-share coal mining and processing sector staged an intra-day rally; Haohua Energy hit the daily price limit, while Yankuang Energy, Pingmei, Huaibei Mining, Xinji Energy and Dayou Energy also advanced.

Shopify (SHOP.N) shares rose 33.8% in U.S. premarket trading after the company said its Q3 revenue outlook implies just over 30% growth, above the Street’s ~27% consensus and marking a sixth consecutive quarter of >30% revenue growth. Analyst Anurag Rana said rising AI costs had been expected to compress margins entering the quarter; Shopify told investors in May that more than half its code is generated by AI.

Korean IT outlet Digital Daily reports Apple sought cuts to LPDDR5X and other mobile DRAM prices for next‑generation iPhones and smart devices, but China’s CXMT rejected the request, saying its quotes will not fall below Samsung and SK Hynix. CXMT’s stance reflects capacity locked by long‑term, high‑price contracts with Huawei and Xiaomi, removing the need to concede to Apple. At the same time Samsung and SK Hynix are reallocating capacity to higher‑value AI/storage products — HBM4, LPCAMM2 and enterprise SSDs — tightening supply of general‑purpose DRAM and supporting price rises; CXMT’s refusal adds further upward pressure on commodity DRAM prices.
