KOSPI fell 301.88 points (4.58%) to 6,296.38 after overnight U.S. tech weakness,
pressured by concurrent foreign and institutional selling. Foreign investors net
sold 3.9781 tln won from the open; institutions net sold 235.7 bln won. Retail
investors net bought 4.1062 tln won, partially absorbing flows but unable to
prevent the decline. Semiconductors led losses: Samsung Electronics down 6.30%,
SK Hynix down 10.37%. Secondary-battery names held up: LG Energy Solution +2.83%
to 345,000 won; POSCO +0.63% to 319,000 won.
