Liu Xingjuan, member of the Monetary Authority of Macao executive council and
chair of the Macau Central Securities Depository (MCSD), led a delegation to
Shanghai Clearing House for talks chaired by Shanghai Clearing House chairman Ma
Jianyang; deputy general manager Huang Ning attended. Representatives from Hong
Kong Xunqing Clearing Ltd. were present. Parties discussed interconnection of
onshore and offshore bond-market infrastructure and extending southbound access
to include Macao’s bond market. They said they will actively implement policy
measures announced by PBOC Governor Pan Gongsheng at the Hong Kong Monetary and
Fixed Income Summit, leverage financial infrastructure, and deepen Mainland–Hong
Kong–Macao bond-market coordination to support higher-level financial opening.
