At the morning open, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Polysilicon and SC crude led gains, up over 4%; fuel oil rose nearly 3%; asphalt, ethylene glycol (EG), coke and styrene (EB) gained more than 2%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) was up about 2%; container freight rates on Europe routes climbed over 1%. On the downside, platinum fell more than 2%, while palladium, SHFE silver, SHFE nickel and SHFE tin were down over 1%.
