Unitree Technology chairman, CEO and CTO Wang Xingxing said the company operates
a produce-to-sales plus safety-stock production-planning model. Monthly
production-supply-sales meetings set total output based on the sales plan and
inventory; plans are broken into specific production tasks and issued to
production departments, which organise execution. Finished robots and core
modules are produced and assembled in-house, while non-core parts and certain
processes are obtained via customised procurement and subcontracting. Wang said
the model enables control of key technical production steps and aims to optimise
technological progress and cost efficiency.
