China Customs said imports of bulk commodities rose 3% YoY in the first seven months of the year; metal ore imports rose 8.2% YoY. Imports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 5.31 trillion yuan, up 29.7% YoY and accounting for 41.9% of total import value. China has implemented a zero-tariff policy covering 63 countries to date; its import volume has ranked second globally for 17 consecutive years.
