Dallas on Sept. 9-10 at the American Airlines Center to argue Democrats are
controlled by an activist left, aiming to shift the midterms away from a
referendum on Trump. The move comes as Trump’s approval slips into the 30% range
and the ongoing war with Iran continues to weigh on the economy. GOP operatives
have spent months assembling video assets of progressive figures and plan to
repeatedly air them during the conference to portray Democrats as out of the
mainstream. Assets include footage of Hasan Piker—a left-wing political streamer
with a large youth following who has drawn criticism for strongly anti‑U.S.
foreign-policy positions and harsh criticism of Israel—and Texas US Senate
candidate James Talarico, targeted over support for progressive issues (trans
rights, looser immigration, public education reform) and past comments such as
God is nonbinary.
