China's advertising industry generated 1.037 trillion yuan in 1H 2026, up 11.3% YoY, per the State Administration for Market Regulation. TV and newspaper ad revenues were 19.88 billion yuan and 1.22 billion yuan, up 3.4% and 12.6% respectively; cinema ad revenue rose multiple-fold. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Fujian together earned 843.21 billion yuan in ad revenue, up 12% YoY and representing 81.3% of the national total (up 0.5 ppt).
